The Assessment Process
For all of the certification schemes that International Certification Services Ltd provides we have adopted a two-stage assessment process. At the end of which a certificate of registration may be issued to all successful applicants. A planned programme of surveillance visits supports every certificate of registration issued by International Certification Services Ltd over its three-year life cycle.
Our Approach to Assessment
Our approach is simple and straight forward, nine easy steps with no hidden surprises or other nonsense.
- Step 1 - Request a quotation and application form.
-
- Step 2 - Agree with our proposal and return the signed application form.
-
- Step 3 - We will then allocate the auditor or audit team who will work with you and agree a date for the stage 1 assessment.
-
- Step 4 - The stage 1 assessment is completed and if all is well we can agree a date for the stage 2 assessment to take place. If any concerns or issues arise during the stage 1 assessment then they must all be cleared before we can agree the date for the stage 2 assessment to take place.
-
- Step 5 - The stage 2 assessment is completed and the audit team can make their recommendation.
-
- Step 6 - If the audit team makes a positive recommendation for registration then an independent person can confirm the issue of the certificate of registration. If any concerns or issues are raised during the stage 2 assessment then these must all be fully closed out before a certificate of registration can be issued.
-
- Step 7 - A certificate of registration that is valid for three years is now issued.
-
- Step 8 - Surveillance visits are now undertaken on either a six or twelve monthly basis to verify ongoing system effectiveness.
-
- Step 9 - At the end of three years a certificate renewal visit will then take place.
